The Italian Republic “Barcode” collection is an interesting new series that debuted in 2008 with nine denominations but was expanded to include most issues starting in 2009. The barcode is printed next to a single stamp on each mini-sheet.

In 2011, most issues had two or four codes per mini-sheet.
